Harkness, B.A. 1897. In 1925, while the University Theatre was under construction, the first class of students was enrolled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/yalerep.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Yale Repertory Theatre<\/a>, the internationally celebrated professional theatre in residence at Yale School of Drama, has championed new work since 1966, producing well over 100 premieres\u2014including two Pulitzer Prize winners and four other nominated finalists\u2014by emerging and established playwrights. Seventeen Yale Rep productions have advanced to Broadway, garnering more than 40 Tony Award nominations and 10 Tony Awards.
