In addition to a career as a jazz pianist with several notable groups, his wide-ranging artistic activities include serving as principal composer for the Novosibirsk Globe theater and teaching jazz improvisation at the Novosibirsk musical college. He also formed two groups\u2014an art rock duo and a free improve trio\u2014and wrote a book on the training course in improvisation that he developed.
