NEFA is&nbsp;one of&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.usregionalarts.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">six regional arts organizations<\/a>&nbsp;established with funding from the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nea.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Endowment for the Arts<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;to strengthen the national arts infrastructure by cultivating the arts on a regional level. Today, NEFA\u2019s programs are regional, national, and international in scope, and support artists and communities through grants and other opportunities in dance, music, theater, and public art.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to NEFA, Cathy\u00a0was director of programming at\u00a0the International Festival of Arts &amp; Ideas in New Haven, CT.
